Welcome
Rapids along Track and Tower Trail, Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario
Hello,
I am Meredith Purcell, a PhD candidate at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. My interests lie in ecology and conservation of North American cervids such as moose, elk, caribou, mule deer, and white-tailed deer. This encompasses many questions which I would like to further research including predator-prey dynamics with growing predator populations, harvest dynamics, disease epidemiology, and landscape genetics. The ability of (sub)species to adapt to climate change is of particular interest to me currently, as I am researching differential success of two subspecies of moose.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." ~Steve Jobs
